# Preparing your review with AI: step-by-step

**Filling in your evaluation with AI**

If your organization has enabled the AI settings to help prepare evaluations, you’ll see the following options when you begin your preparation:

- Start with AI
- Start manually

If you choose **‘Start with AI’**, a draft evaluation will be generated based on existing information available in the system.

💡: By keeping notes about yourself or other employees in your notebook throughout the year, you’ll be able to make better use of the AI suggestions.

#### **AI suggestions**

At the top of the AI suggestion, it’s clearly indicated that this is a **suggestion**.  
Always review this input critically and only continue with the evaluation once you agree with the proposed text. You can always adjust your answer later.

The suggestion includes one or more references to the source(s) of the text used.

**Note**❗️: This banner is shown the first time you review the form. Once you save the input and continue working in the form, the suggestions are converted into draft answers.

The suggestion also includes one or more references to the source(s) of the text used. By clicking on the source, the relevant insight will be displayed in the sidebar. This allows you to see how the suggestion is substantiated and how the comment was generated.

This source reference can also be found in the completed version of the report and in the edit mode of a response in the report. However, these are not clickable here due to privacy considerations.

**Insufficient insights**  
It may also happen that there isn’t enough information available to generate a solid answer. In that case, the system will indicate that no suggestions can be provided. You can then proceed to complete the evaluation manually.​

💡: You need at least 3 insights about an employee to be able to use AI suggestions.

#### **Completing an AI-generated evaluation**

When using AI-suggested answers, you’ll be asked at the end of the evaluation to confirm that you’ve read the suggestions and agree with them.
